Context intelligence
for AI coding agents.

Compress noisy tool output into high-signal context.
Keep useful context moving with your agent.

Type mismatch in src/config.rs

Key finding
Function expects u16 but receives String
Next action
Normalize the config value before invocation

CONTEXT COMPRESSION

Keep the signal.
Compress the noise.

Build logs, repeated output and intermediate results accumulate as coding sessions grow. XiT processes command output before it returns to the agent. It reduces avoidable noise; it does not replace your agent or compress every part of a conversation.

Follow the Context
Tool output
A growing stream of information.
Builds, tests and searches can produce more output than the next step needs.
XiT
Process the command output.
The Rust 0.3 foundation applies deterministic context processing.
Useful context
Return a smaller working result.
Keep the information the agent needs to continue investigating.
Fallback
Pass through when needed.
When output is unsuitable for compression, XiT returns raw bytes instead.
ALONGSIDE YOUR AGENT

Less output noise.
The same coding workflow.

Your agent runs a command. XiT processes its output and returns useful context. Output beyond the compression buffer is streamed through; unsuitable text falls back to raw bytes. The agent continues with the command result.

BOUNDARIES MATTER

Context processing.
Explicit fallback boundaries.

XiT 0.3 is built around a Rust compression foundation. Local implementation and real Codex testing support the core workflow; public distribution and wider agent validation remain separate release steps.

Check Release Readiness
Local core
Process output locally.
The core command-output workflow does not require a cloud service.
Raw fallback
Keep the command moving.
Oversized output streams through. Invalid UTF-8 or unsuccessful compression falls back to raw bytes.
Codex
Core workflow verified.
Real Codex UAT verified transformed tool output. Persistent visible status remains unresolved.
Compatibility
Support is specific.
Other agent integrations need release-specific validation. Universal agent support is not claimed.
GETTING STARTED · RELEASE PREPARATION

Public setup.
Coming with the release.

XiT 0.3 public installation instructions are being finalized. A public download and install command will appear here when verified for the release.

Current Rust documentation covers provisioning an already trusted local binary and explicitly setting up project integration. It is not a public download installer.

COMING LATER

A foundation for
what comes next.

Persistent memory, usage intelligence and cross-agent continuity are planned directions, outside the initial public Homepage offering. Cloud functionality, Meter, Quota and Leaderboards are not presented as available.
